Rule 16
Suspension or cancellation of license or certificate

(1) The office may suspend or cancel the license or certificate issued in accordance with this regulation in the following cases. (a) If the process or service provided by the licensee is not in accordance with Nepal quality, (b) If the licensee uses quality evidence-mark or certificate in relation to any substance, process or service without following the methods specified in Nepal quality,
(c) if the licensee acts contrary to the Act or these regulations or disobeys the order given by the office, or
(d) If the licensee does not comply with the conditions specified in the licence, certificate or acknowledgment or approval.
(2) Before suspending or canceling the license or certificate, the licensee shall be given a period of fifteen days to submit his explanation. If the licensee submits an explanation within the deadline, the office will take a final decision on whether or not to suspend or cancel the license or certificate after considering such explanation.
(3) In case the license or certificate is suspended according to sub-rule (2), the licensee shall not be allowed to use the quality proof-mark or certificate in relation to the related substance, process or service.
